COME WORK AT RANUA RESORT Open jobs in the winter season 2022-2023
Ranua Resort offers versatile working opportunities. It is possible to work in both the summer and winter seasons, e.g. in the wildlife park., restaurant, reception or as a safari guide.
For some of the positions, we require some training and/or work experience in the field, and in addition, we expect our employees to be flexible, customer service-oriented, with a brisk attitude and good teamwork skills. Language skills are useful in every job, because our customers come from all over the world.
We are now looking for employees for the upcoming winter season, the application period is until September 30, 2022, but you should send the application to us as soon as possible, because we will be interviewing applicants from August and we will hire an employee when we have found one who is suitable for the position. JOB ROLES AT RANUA RESORT Work opportunities
Ranua Resort offers versatile working opportunities near good transport connections. We offer jobs such as receptionists in our accommodation services, restaurant workers, cooks, safari workers, cleaners or animal caretakers. For some of the tasks, we require some training and/or work experience in the field, and in addition, we expect our employees to be flexible, customer service-oriented, a brisk attitude and good teamwork skills. Language skills are useful in every job, because our customers come from all over the world.
Safari manager
The safari manager acts as the team manager of the safari team, who together with their team offers our customers a comprehensive selection of experiences and activities as part of our service package in the winter season.
Our safari selection offers our customers unforgettable experiences in the arctic nature, such as snowmobile safaris, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and ice skating.
Customers mainly come from abroad, so proficient English skills are essential. We require teamwork and customer service skills, and we value experience in managerial work, customer service and safari operations. We are looking for a positive and versatile person with excellent problem solving skills. We require at least a class B driver’s license.
A degree/training in the field is considered an advantage.
The safari manager’s job description includes, among others:
– safety training for safari guides
– orientation of the safari guides
– shift planning
– close cooperation with service providers of the activities
– responsibility for the maintenance and upkeep of the safari equipment
– scheduling of activities
– processing of purchase invoices
Safari guide
Our safari guides are involved in various activities we offer our customers. Our operations are international, so English language skills are essential. Knowledge of other languages is also very useful. Previous professional experience in a similar position is an advantage.
Being apart of our team allows you to participate in multiple tasks, because our customers come from all over the world, and you help them enjoy their stay with us by having memorable experiences with different activities. The changing weather conditions of Finland and the equipment required are completely foreign to many, so you advise and help our customers on your own initiative.
Self-initiative, customer service spirit and a happy and positive attitude are traits that we value deeply. Considering the seasonal nature fo our work we also require flexibility.
Receptionist
The receptionist works in the reception and with the accommodation services of the holiday village, glass igloos and campsites. Our operations are international, so knowledge of the English language is essential and knowledge of other languages is certainly useful. Previous experience in similar tasks is also an advantage.
In our team, you get to be involved in many things, and because our customers come from all over the world, you help them feel comfortable with us, as well as advise them if necessary on activities, restaurants, accommodation – and everything else. Different weather conditions and the equipment they require can be completely foreign to many, so initiative, customer service spirit and positivity are traits we especially value. In our seasonal work, we require flexibility, which also means night work.
Your job description includes daily reception work, handling e-mails, selling program services and their organization. We use Travius as our reservation program.
Restaurant worker
The restaurant employee works in our wildlife park and/or igloo village restaurant. Our operations are international, so knowledge of the English language is essential and knowledge of other languages is certainly useful. Previous experience in similar tasks is also an advantage.
In our restaurant, we need waiters and hall workers, especially during the high season. In our team, you can be involved in many things, because our customers come from all over the world. We require customer service spirit and a happy and positive attitude.
Your job description includes the normal duties of a restaurant employee and you help our customers enjoy themselves in our restaurant as part of a memorable vacation. If necessary, you advise our customers on your own initiative and serve our customers with a smile.
Cook
As a cook, you work in our restaurants in the animal park/igloo. Our customers come from all over the world, so you know how to take different cultures into account when planning food. In our restaurant, we offer breakfast and a buffet lunch every day.
The ability to speak English is important, and we also value positivity and the will to create experiences for our customers through good food. We also require previous experience in similar tasks.
Cleaner
Our cleaning team needs helping hands for temporary employment for seasonal work. The cleaner’s duties include daily cleaning of accommodation facilities in the holiday villas, igloos and wildlife park’s customer facilities.
We require a positive and flexible attitude, diligence and a B driver’s license. Previous work experience in similar positions is considered an advantage.
