Ranua Resort Joins Polar Bears International’s Arctic Ambassador Center Network

Ranua Resort has strengthened its collaboration with Polar Bears International by joining the international Arctic Ambassador Center network. The partnership reinforces Ranua Resort's work in polar bear communication, conservation education, and Arctic conservation. The collaboration was officially announced during the Arctic Sea Ice Day event at Ranua Wildlife Park on July 15, when a new sea ice installation was also unveiled in the new polar bear viewing shelter.

Courtyard Kiosk Closed Temporarily

Ranua Resort’s courtyard ice cream kiosk is temporarily closed. A squirrel has built a nest near the kiosk, so we are giving it the peace and quiet it needs during the nesting season. We will reopen the kiosk once the young squirrels have left the nest.

Wild summer nights at the Wildlife park

Experience the wildlife park in the magic of a summer evening. On Wild Summer Nights, Ranua Wildlife Park stays open later than usual, giving visitors a chance to experience the park in a completely different atmosphere. The calm light of a northern summer evening, the animals’ evening routines and special keeper-led programme make these evenings a memorable summer experience. For Wild Summer Nights, visitors can buy a special evening ticket at a lower price than a regular wildlife park ticket. The ticket is valid for entry between 18:00 and 22:00.

In summer 2026, Ranua Resort is part of a new joint campaign designed to make northern camping travel even more inspiring. The Three Experiences Camping Tour connects Ranua Resort, Oulu's Nallikari and the SnowCastle of Kemi  into one ready-made summer route where every stop rewards the traveller.

Wild forest reindeer conservation project launched

Ranua Wildlife Park is participating in the extensive seven-year LIFEline4Fennicus project, which began in early 2026 and aims to improve the long-term viability of the wild forest reindeer (Rangifer tarandus fennicus) population.
