The safari also includes transfers from the Safari House to the reindeer farm, making the experience smooth and effortless from start to finish.

Snowmobile safari to the reindeer farm

This snowmobile safari takes you to a traditional reindeer farm, where you will discover the fascinating world of Lappish culture and reindeer husbandry. The adventure begins with a snowmobile driving instruction, after which we head towards Laivala, a family-run reindeer farm now in its third generation and home to more than 300 reindeer.

During the visit, you will have the opportunity to feed the reindeer, take memorable photographs, and enjoy a reindeer sleigh ride through the peaceful surroundings. The experience is completed with a warm drink served in a traditional kota hut, where you can relax and learn more about life at the reindeer farm in Arctic conditions.

Your adventure begins at the Ranua Resort Safari House, where you will be warmly welcomed before stepping into a snowmobile sleigh for a scenic five-minute transfer through the snow-covered forest. As you arrive at the serene Lupland Pond, a group of eager reindeer will be waiting to guide you into the heart of this winter wonderland.

Settle into a traditional sleigh and enjoy a peaceful 10–15 minute ride around the frozen pond. The soft sound of runners gliding over snow, the gentle pace of the reindeer, and the surrounding white landscape create a moment of pure northern charm.

After the ride, you will have the opportunity to feed the reindeer and capture memorable photographs with these calm and friendly animals before return sleigh ride to the Safari house.

Your journey begins at the Ranua Resort Safari House, where you will be transferred to the peaceful Lupland Pond, surrounded by snow-laden trees and the stillness of the Arctic wilderness.

Awaiting you there are gentle reindeer, ready to guide you on a serene one-kilometre sleigh ride through the moonlit forest. As the sleigh glides over the snow, you will travel beneath a sky filled with stars and, with a touch of luck, the shimmering waves of the Aurora Borealis. Even when snowflakes drift from the sky, the Arctic night wraps the landscape in a magical calm, creating a moment to remember. The calm rhythm of the reindeer and the beauty of the night create an unforgettable moment of northern magic.

After the ride, you will gather by a warm campfire, where glowing flames offer comfort in the crisp evening air. Enjoy a cup of hot juice and listen to stories that bring the Arctic traditions to life.
