Routes and maintenance
Ranua is popular amongst snowmobilers thanks to its excellent routes. Snowmobile routes are official snowmobile routes that are managed and maintained by Ranua municipality on a regular basis.
The official connections are: Rovaniemi, Vanttaus, Posio, Syöte, Ii and Simo (up to the border of the municipalities under the care of Ranua and as an official route).
You can find out more about the map of Ranua’s snowmobile routes and ruts on the municipality’s website. On the website, you can also find real-time information about the maintenance status of the snowmobile routes. Please note, most of the information on the website is unfortunately only available in Finnish.
