Welcome to an incredible arctic adventure to Kemi and the Icebreaker Arktis!

The Icebreaker Arktis cruises on the frozen Gulf of Bothnia Sea in Kemi during the winter season. It started operation in icebreaking duties in 1980 and in 2023 Arktis was completely refurbished for tourist use. Its operational area has covered the entire Gulf of Bothnia.

Its capacity is 180 passengers, there is great view from lounges from two different floors, the Arktis Café serves drinks and snacks and you can visit the Captain´s bridge during the cruise. The ice floating experience happens smoothly from the vessel, where you get to walk the steps outside of the dressing room straight to the sea.

Guests need to provide nationality and date of birth when booking.

Timetable:

• 09:30 Departure from Ranua
• 11:30 Lunch in the Lumihiutale restaurant, possibility to visit the SnowExperience365 exhibition (tickets not included in the trip)
• 12:30 Transfer from the Snowcastle area to the harbour
• 13:15 Cruise starts
• 16:45 Departure back to Ranua
• 18:45 Back in Ranua Resort

What’s included?

Transportation Ranua-Kemi-Ranua, driver / guide (not on board on the cruise), lunch in the restaurant Lumihiutale and 3 hours ice breaker cruise (Arktis Blue moment cruise) including ice floating experience, walking on ice and the diploma. Possibility to buy some snacks and drinks on board at own expense.
