Our room directory contains important information about accommodation.
Our holiday village has a total of 30 modern holiday villas, each with A and B apartments. Each apartment has a well-equipped kitchen, living room, two bedrooms and two extra beds upstairs, bathroom, sauna and toilet/shower.
The holiday villas are built with respect for the environment – the heating is geothermal and the building material is renewable Finnish pine. The furniture is Finnish, made in Finland using domestic materials. The surrounding nature has been nurtured during the construction phase, so you can enjoy the authentic Lapland landscape view.
We kindly remind you to keep the doosr closed, so the heating systems works properly and also to keep the electricity consumption reasonable.

From November until April the breakfast is served in the Wild Arctic Restaurant 8 am – 10 pm. Other times the breakfast is served as a take away.
The restaurant is located in the building on the left side of the entrance to the wildlife park, next to the ticket office.

USING THE SAUNA IN THE HOLIDAY VILLAS Sauna
Be very careful in the sauna, because the heater is very hot.
Do not dry anything in the sauna due to the risk of fire! There is a drying cabinet in the hall for drying clothes.
Instructions to heat the sauna:
- Turn on the sauna by pressing the I/O button on the wall switch. If you wish, you can select a suitable temperature from the switch.
- Wait 30 to 40 minutes, so that the sauna has time to heat up.
- Use a seat cover in the sauna. You can find the seat covers in the bathroom sink cabinet.
- Wash yourself before going into the sauna.
- Relax in the heat of the sauna.
- The sauna heater is turned off from the wall switch by pressing the I/O button.
- The sauna switches off automatically after four hours. Please, do not keep the sauna on if not being used.
Have a relaxing time in the sauna!
During your stay
Smoking
You can find ashtrays near the entrance of the apartment and in the terrace. If smoking has been detected in the apartment, we charge an additional fee of 400 € for cleaning.
Pets
Pets are allowed in some of the accommodation. Please confirm availability when booking. Due to allergy reasons, pets cannot be accepted in all of our accommodation. If there has been a pet in the accommodation, which has not been reported to our reception, we charge an additional fee of 100 € for cleaning.
Alcohol
In all of our facilities, i.e. the restaurants, bar, reception and apartments, all alcoholic beverages are licensed. We also deliver drinks to the apartments upon pre-order.
Apartment temperature control
If the temperature doesn’t feel right, you can adjust the temperature to the right temperature using the thermostat control on the wall of the apartment. If problems arise, please contact reception.
Heating the fireplace
The wood for the fireplace is in the kitchen cleaning cabinet or in a wood basket next to the fireplace. More firewood can be purchased from the reception for 10 €. Please note that the fireplace does not have a separately opening damper or smoke hatch. Do not use the kitchen hood at the same time as there is a fire in the fireplace! Be careful of the hot surface of the fireplace, the surface heats up very quickly. The ash container is on the front steps, where you can empty the ashes if necessary. Never put ashes in a garbage bag because of the risk of fire.
Snow work in the winter
We start snow work in the morning around 7 am. This may cause some noise. We apologize for the possible disruption caused by the snow work!

Cleaning supplies
The kitchen cleaning cabinet has cleaning cloths and cleaning agents that you can use if necessary. The blue cleaning cloth is intended for the kitchen, the light red for the toilets and the gray for wiping the floor. The dishwasher detergent bottle says “DISH WASHER” and the hand dishwashing detergent bottle says “HAND WASH”. The cabinet also has a pink bottle for toilet cleaning and a green bottle for general cleaning. There is more information about cleaning tools on the door of the cleaning cabinet.
Using the dishwasher
Use only dishwasher detergent (DISH WASHER) in the dishwasher and check that the tap is open. The faucet should be turned to the left. Depending on the machine model, the dishwasher starts either with the round switch or the switch on top of the machine door.
Waste sorting
The apartment has its own waste bins for different types of waste. One container is intended for bottles and cans, and the other for mixed waste. There are also large waste containers for glass, mixed and paper waste in the area.
Ranua Wildlife Park
Open daily 10 am – 6 pm in the summer season and from 10 am to 4 pm in the winter season.
Ranua Wildlife Park is a wonderful opportunity to see arctic animals in their authentic habitat.
When you buy a ticket to Ranua Wildlife Park, the ticket is valid for the duration of your stay. So you can visit the Wildlife Park as many times as you want!
Tickets can be bought in the online store, receptions and at the Wildlife Park ticket office.
