Bear collection now in the MurrrMurrr castle
Kauko Launonen gave a collection of teddy bears to Ranuan Seudun Matkailu Oy in September 2020. The collection consists of about 800 teddy bears and 200 teddy bear items. There are teddy bears from different parts of the world as well as several Winnie the Pooh and Paddington bears. The oldest bear is from the 1960 century and there is even one polar bear which is made in MurrrMurr castle some time ago.
The collection is at the MurrrMurrr castle, in the same building with the reception. Teddy bear exhibition is open every day with the same opening hours than the reception of the holiday villa and there is no admission fee.

Ranua Resort has strengthened its collaboration with Polar Bears International by joining the international Arctic Ambassador Center network. The partnership reinforces Ranua Resort’s work in polar bear communication, conservation education, and Arctic conservation. Courtyard Kiosk Closed Temporarily
Ranua Resort’s courtyard ice cream kiosk is temporarily closed. A squirrel has built a nest near the kiosk, so we are giving it the peace and quiet it needs during the nesting season. We will reopen the kiosk once the young squirrels have left the nest.
