Wild forest reindeer conservation continues!
The wild forest reindeer gets a seven-year extension for its conservation project! This native species has received significant funding from the EU LIFE programme. The LIFEline4Fennicus project, starting in 2026, will support the population’s viability through various measures such as reintroductions and habitat restoration.
The project continues the work of the WildForestReindeerLIFE project, which ended two years ago. Ranua Wildlife Park is one of the partners in this initiative coordinated by Metsähallitus.
